Information about reception in the airport

The Algiers airport is an international civil airport serving the Algerian capital and its region, it is the most important of all Algerian airports.

Its current capacity is about 9 million passengers a year to a real flow of roughly 6 million in 2013.

It contains :

  • A terminal for international flights.
  • A terminal for domestic flights.
  • A terminal for charter flights, used especially for pilgrimage.

A new terminal with a capacity of 10 million passengers is under construction since 2015.

Access

Access to the airport of Algiers is diversified:

  • By car : the airport is accessible via the south ring road of Algiers leading from the western suburbs (Zéralda) to Dar El Beida, the 2nd ring road south of Algiers connecting the eastern suburbs of Algiers (Boudouaou) to the west suburbs (Staoueli) and the North ring road of Algiers that leads from the center of Algiers to Dar El Beida.
  • By bus : line 100 of ETUSA connects the airport to downtown Algiers every 30 minutes.
  • Under construction : the extension of the Algiers metro currently under construction will link Algiers airport to the rest of the network in 2020.
